Description

205: Ministering to the Spirit: Identifying and Healing Blocks with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

Margaret Nagib, Psy.D.
Dunamis Project
422 W. Wesley St.
Wheaton, IL 60190

Summary
Many treatment providers claim to address the individual’s needs—“body, mind, and spirit”—but what does this really mean, and how do we, as treatment providers or pastoral ministries, do this? In Ministering to the Spirit, Dr. Nagib discusses the importance of the tripartite nature of human beings and how our tripartite nature relates with the triune God. She will present the importance of the much-neglected spirit in the healing work and help the learner practically integrate the work of psychology with the life-changing work of the Spirit. She will present a practical inner healing tool to identify the blocks that keep individuals from fully interacting with the fullness and exquisiteness of the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). This presentation will assist the lay person, pastoral ministry leader, and therapist in his or her work to restore and strengthen intimacy with God utilizing the biblical core Christian understanding of forgiveness, intimacy with God, repentance, and spiritual warfare. With the guidance of the facilitator and through the power of the Holy Spirit, this tool identifies and breaks off the lies created by familial wounds that keep individuals stuck and unable to receive healing for these wounds from God. It releases the truth of their identity, who God is, and the freedom and love that He has for everyone.
