Grace University, a Christ-centered educational institution, invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Counselor Education in its graduate Counseling Department.

Typical load: 3 courses per semester (18 credits per year) in Counselor Education plus faculty responsibilities. Position is a 10-month appointment with summer opportunities. Salary commensurate with qualifications/experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision by August 1, 2017.
  • Licensure eligibility as an LMHP in Nebraska.
  • Experience in clinical mental health counseling.

Licensed Christian Therapist
Responsible for providing individual resident therapy requesting Christian programming. Provides services as a member of the inter-disciplinary treatment team, coordinating with the Attending Psychiatrist, Family Therapist and other team members. Provides spiritually integrated psychological care through use of Christian principals and interventions. Demonstrated skill in 12-Step and Family Systems Recovery Models with Adolescent and Young Adult Women Clients. Demonstrated advanced level knowledge of group behavior and dynamics; Demonstrated advanced level knowledge of Spiritually integrated psychological care including integration of Christian principles and interventions in the recovery process and psychotherapy. Demonstrated advanced level knowledge of the biblical principles and spiritual interventions salient to psychological health.

Whitinsville Christian School (WCS) seeks a part-time (possibly full-time) Health and Wellness Counselor, starting August 14, 2017 . WCS is a co-educational, K-12 (plus pre-school) private Christian School of about 600 students.

The Health and Wellness Counselor will: 1) provide 1 on 1 direct counseling services to students as needed; 2) in communication with parents, facilitate the evaluation process, conduct evaluations, and refer students as needed for additional support; 3) offer expert consultation, direction and support to faculty, staff, and families about students’ social and emotional growth and well-being: and 4) facilitate/teach lessons on social awareness and self-regulation in the elementary classrooms or in a small group format.

Qualifications include: a) a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology, or equivalent degree with appropriate licensure and clinical experience; and b) the ability to integrate clinical skills with a Christian world view.
