Catherine Hart-Weber, Ph.D.
Catherine is a licensed marriage and family therapist who serves on the International Foursquare Board for CARE counseling resource for pastors and their families and speaks extensively on marital enrichment and women’s issues. She is a teacher, lecturer and author, writing numerous book chapters, journal and magazine articles and is co-author of two books on sexuality and depression.

 

Abstract

Archibald Hart, Ph.D.

Dr. Archibald Hart is a Professor of Psychology and former Dean of the Graduate School of Psychology, Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California. Having trained originally in South Africa, where he is licensed as a clinical psychologist, Hart first came to the United States in 1971 to do a Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Graduate School of Psychology, Fuller Theological Seminary. In May 1973, he joined the faculty. He is licensed in the state of California as a psychologist and specializes in psychotherapy from a Christian orientation, stress management and the use of biofeedback techniques, neuro-psychodiagnosis and cognitive approach to psychology. His major research interests are in the areas of vocational hazards of the ministry and stress management.

Abstract
The chronic stress of twenty-first century living is no longer a mere inconvenience. It is a major challenge affecting all of us. Our “go-go-go” digital world is adding to the problem by accelerating the breakdown of our defense systems, resulting in a wide variety of physical and emotional disorders. It is essential that every counselor know how to recognize and prevent stress’ irreversible damage.

  2. Learn the anatomy and psychology of stress. What is your stress level?
  3. Understand when stress becomes damaging to your health and well-being and the importance of lifestyle, sleep and recovery.
