Proposal Submission Guidelines
All proposals must be submitted by
December 15, 2006!

AACC members and others are encouraged to submit proposals for presentation at the Conference by December 15, 2006.

A Presentation Proposal Application must be completed by everyone who would like to be considered to present a workshop.

Applications may be downloaded online at www.AACC.net or by clicking here. Be sure to include a Presentation Title, 50-word Abstract, and three specific Learning Objectives on a labeled CD.

Send your Presentation Proposal Application, CD, and paper copy to:

Mark Camper, Assistant Program Director
AACC No Greater Love Conference
P.O. Box 739
Forest, VA 24551

You may also e-mail your Presentation Proposal Application/Info. to Mark@AACC.net.

Upon receipt, proposals will be distributed to the appropriate Track Leaders whose judgments will be based on the following criteria:

  • Is the proposal clear and psychologically sound?
  • What makes the proposal appropriate for a conference on Christian counseling?
  • Is the proposal of interest to a wide group of participants (Proposals that are too narrow are less likely to be accepted.)
  • How does the proposal fit the Conference theme?
  • In view of other proposals, is the proposal of sufficient impact to be included in the track to which it has been submitted?

If selected, you will be required to:

  1. make your presentation at the time selected by the Program Director. Morning and afternoon track workshops will take place on Thursday, September 13, Friday, September 14, and Saturday, September 15. A specific day/time request will be considered if necessary, but cannot be guaranteed. Fill in the appropriate space under Part Two on the Presentation
Proposal Application to request a special day/time. Please keep in mind that this should only be out of necessity, not preference. Once the track workshop schedule has been determined, no changes will be made.
  2. submit a non-returnable, high resolution (300 dpi or higher .JPEG or .TIF file only) color, headshot photo by Wednesday, February 28, 2007 for use in the Conference program. Please e-mail photos to Mark Camper at Mark@AACC.net or mail to his attention at AACC, P.O. Box 739, Forest, VA 24551.
  3. check in upon your arrival at the Conference and pick up your Badge, “Speaker” Ribbon and conference information packet at the Help Desk.

All selections will be made by January 19, 2007. You will be informed of your proposal’s acceptance or non-acceptance no later than February 23, 2007.
