The Black African-American Christian Counseling Association is preparing for its 2008 conference being held on September 25th-27th at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando. I am excited about the opportunity this conference will provide those who attend. We are scheduling great plenary speakers, worship leaders, workshop presenters, and others for the event.

Our conference title is “FORGIVEN” and it represents the intentional effort of the organization to progressively address the issues surrounding forgiveness in the context of Christian counseling. We hope to remind the world again that Jesus has not only come to save, but also to forgive. He gives us life while teaching us how to live as He demonstrated and became the object of forgiveness for all.

The objective of the 2008 Summit is to restore and revive this reality, and in doing so, better understand and clearly articulate the spiritual and clinical aspects of forgiveness.
