Welcome from the BCSFN!
Since our inception, the AACC has been committed to excellence in biblical counseling and spiritual formation. With the launch of the Biblical Counseling and Spiritual Formation Network (BCSFN), we are pledging that biblical counseling and spiritual formation will remain the DNA that infiltrates everything that we do. We birth the BCSFN out of the passionate desire to be a positive force for changing lives with Christ’s changeless truth by uniting biblical counseling and spiritual formation to equip believers to use God’s Word to disciple one another toward growth in Christlikeness.
Unfortunately, too much Christian counseling is theologically deficient. For instance, we counsel regarding emotions, but we have no theology of emotions. The BCSFN is driven by the desire to enrich every believer—to end the poverty with the riches of biblical and theological truth related to the spiritual life.
Equally unfortunate, biblical counseling at times has become associated with negativity, divisiveness, and animosity. We launch the BCSFN with the prayer that God would use us to unite the Body of Christ around a positive exploration and presentation of biblical truth about personal and corporate sanctification.
