I’m so pleased that we have been able to link arms with Troy Morgan and the National Mediation Association to offer this specialized training experience. My prayer is that thousands of our members will participate in the trainings and add a new specialty to their counseling ministries. Troy Morgan is Nationally Recognized for his expertise in family mediation and is an excellent presenter. You won’t be disappointed.

As a Trained Family Mediator You Will be Able to:

  • Mediate conflicts between parents and children, couples over parenting issues or spending habits — everyday problems that, left unresolved, can fracture family unity and trust.
  • Mediate issues raised in a divorce or legal separation. Such issues include property, support, custody and visitation. Mediate issues with couples at any stage of the separation and divorce process — even couples who have previously divorced through the court system and wish to resolve new problems.

Family Mediation Offers the Following Advantages:

  1. Offers personal control over the settlement.
  2. Inflicts less emotional trauma on spouses and children involved.
  3. Less time-consuming than escalating court battles.
  4. Less costly than the adversarial process, due to the active involvement of the couple & the mediator.
  5. Provides a single, reliable source of information, thus eliminating conflicts before they arise.
  6. Divorce mediation is private and helps avoid the distress and embarrassment of a public court battle.
  7. Studies show that couples who have worked together through a mediator are over three times more likely to uphold the terms of their agreement than couples who have divorced through the adversarial system.

“Mediation is more accessible and understandable to the lay person. It is less adversarial, expensive, and time-consuming than litigation and is more likely to produce an outcome that matches the interests of the disputants.”
