This curriculum has eight sessions. Each 40 – 50 minute lesson is built around a DVD in which an expert speaks about a particular issue in stress and anxiety. The surrounding lessons are designed to take about 45 minutes, so the ideal session would be an hour-and-a-half.
The centerpiece of each lesson is, of course, the DVD. But this curriculum includes some icebreaking ideas for the gathering time (we call it “Relate”), a number of discussion questions on the DVD content (”Reflect”), worksheets for group members to process the information in their own way (”Retain”), and take-home sheets with memorable thoughts or homework (”Receive”).
