Family Mealtime Routines and Rituals Key to Children’s Mental Health

Through their research with more than 75 families, Dr. Barbara Fiese and colleagues determined that the rituals and routines involved in family mealtimes not only contribute to the mental health of children, they help establish a sense of family identity and provide a positive environment for problem solving for both parents and children.
